PEANUT BUTTER WOLF

Real Name: Peanut Butter Wolf (Chris Manak) · Handle: @peanutbutterwolf

MPC & SP-1200 Beatmaking (Founding Architect)

PEANUT BUTTER WOLF (Peanut Butter Wolf (Chris Manak)) is a documented founding architect and original pioneer of [CRATE] Low-End Crate Alchemists & Unquantized Beat Konductas. Representing Detroit, MI / Oxnard / Los Angeles, CA, PEANUT BUTTER WOLF helped shape CRATE's battle wax legacy, hardware craft, and international sound system sessions.

“Rejecting rigid computer quantization, J Dilla turned off time-correction on his Akai MPC3000 to invent a human, drunken-time feel that reshaped modern music, while Madlib, Peanut Butter Wolf, and The Alchemist dug into Brazilian, psych-rock, library, and soul records worldwide.”
